@nineteen_gale   Oh how I agree, I've  just purchased a new walker that you can sit on and use as a wheel chair, and the height for handgrips can be moved up in height in my case to bust height so I am not bending over. Apparently they have some new ones in USA that are taller too but mean't for outside use and quite expensive. Judging from the news my operation for my knee could be months down the line so I need  something to maintain my mobility a little till then. Thought this might give you some hope, my main issue is like you pain and mobility.

I would like releive from pain so I can walk , used a new rollator yesterday but only went a short distance to post box now this morning the pain is worse. I had two herbal companies on line yesterday one from New Zealand costing £284 for 6 boxes on special offer and one for Tumeric this morning £24 .99 per box if you buy 5 months supply . Anyone tried any of these so called miraculuos expensive pain killers.?, that often turn out to be an expensive waste of money. I am fed up of being taken for a ride by these companies . I'd be quite happy if I could just decrease the pain enough to walk, without side effects of drugs. As some side effects are worse than the illness. As for Tumeric it can be bought quite cheaply and added to food, just like ginger helps breathing and is inexpensive. How do we releive pain that apparently can only be done by knee replacement. How do we also deal with people who think your severe pain is only Depression, I wish. I can manage Depression with talk .

Hi Katie

Look up the website Turmeric for health. It has all the information on it. You need to read up before you buy Turmeric first. if you are on Blood Thinners then Turmeric in diet is the safest way. All the indications and contra indications are on this site. So please read up on it First. I have been taking Turmeric supplements and dietary Turmeric since i was told I needed a Total knee replacement in Aug. 2015. I have not yet had my surgery. The Turmeric has certainly helped me. It is a miracle cure for many many ailments. I make Golden Past and take a teaspoonful in hot milk every day. The recipe is on the website Turmeric For health. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Thinking about this subject again my response now would be to get rid of IBS and gastric problems... Since changing epilepsy medications the last 3 months I've had severe constipation which had to be sorted out with an edema. I have always had stomach/digestion problems and am allergic to so many food products, i.e. wheat, dairy, protein, seafood, fruit and many vegetables.

I phoned my Epilepsy Nurse yesterday and she agreed to cutting down my dosage to twice daily now, instead of once a day. I started this today and can only hope this will help as side effects with most medications affect the digestive tract.

Keep safe and healthy; love you all!

I haven't even started the process for my TKR. I was told in Aug. 2015 that I needed the replacement. At that time I was only 8 months past my 5th Major spinal surgery and I was not ready for another major surgery. So I declined it. I managed with exercises for the knee, swimming, Turmeric and steroid injections I managed to survive 5 years. But it is getting worse now and will have to start the process all over again. On the news this morning it said that there are thousands on waiting list, so I will stand no chance. If I can not manage, I will go private. I do have health care Insurance. Thank you for your concern Katie. have a good evening

Fibromyalgia is the most debilitating condition one can ever imagine. It is relentless and never leaves you - pain 24/7, all over the body and no cure, at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1My life's changed from being super active and fit to one of not knowing what each day will bring - usually no energy and nagging pain 24/7. I truly hate this condition.

@pateve  I completely agree! And there's not enough information or research being done on it, so the only thing to do is treat the symptom! And that's not even done well either! It's unbearable!
