Hello everyone,

I hope you're doing well. emoticon bashful

As the discussions continue on the end of the COVID-19 lockdown and social distancing measures, you may have some questions about the use of protective face masks.

We've made a little guide to help us all learn how to properly use and wear a mask! Take a look at it below!

Have you been able to obtain any masks for you and your loved ones? Where did you find them? Do you currently or are you planning on using them every time you go out?

Feel free to share with us here! We're here to help on another, especially in this time of public health crisis.

Take care,

Courtney

I went to the Optometrist today and had to wear a mask once again.

I explained I had epilepsy and they advised if I was uncomfortable any time whilst wearing it, to pull it down. Their member of staff wore a plastic shield. Once again, I couldn't breathe, this gave me hypertension and anxiety and I almost flaked out!

I will wear on public transport due to the rules already in place, but if rules in Northern Ireland are brought in to wear in supermarkets, I just won't be going shopping.

Sometimes I wonder if they are actually drawing people away from the shops, not bringing them in!

@Tracy51‍ Thank you for your suggestion.

I went online yesterday and Sunflower is sold out.

Do they deliver to Northern Ireland or just England?

@lesmal there is absoluty no point wearing gloves for everyday activities .What do you think is the point of that ? We must wash or sanitise our hands frequently so you would have to kerp washing the gloves just as often or all you are doing is transferring whatever you touch to think next thing you touch..but washing them reduces their barrier effectiveness.

.As a carer I need them in between each client.. but they  are disposed of in clinical waste ,not a public bin- so how do you dispose of yours inbetween each shop/place you have been ?.each trolley/basket/item you touch? You prefer to leave your germs in a bin opened  by others and to add to landfil ?? Rather than simply cleansing your hands frequently as we are supposed to ?

@Sandykg‍  I do not wear gloves and won't wear a mask either due to my epilepsy and no warning before seizures! Gloves are a waste of time but when one lives in a housing block with 30 other apartments, some people walk around with both! Some think they are being protected; the stupidity of it also. Being a carer is a different topic altogether.

Of course, it is common sense to wash hands and sanitise; we were taught this as children never mind now as pensioners!

Thank you DEBBIEWI,

I ordered some things yesterday and hope to have them before doing my shopping this week.

I've saved the site to my tablet and will look to use them in future.

Thanks again
