@Bobhatt1924 Hello Bobhatt1924, thank you for your comment and your important question. I've moved it to this ongoing discussion about the COVID-19 vaccine. I'd recommend reaching out to your GP for more information about your allergy and the vaccine.
Does anyone know about which, if any, of the vaccines are appropriate for people with allergies? Have you heard anything about this from your GP?
Take care,
Courtney

@Courtney_J @Bobhatt1924 I was just looking into this because I have a family member who can't have penicillin. Anaphylaxis UK says that penicillin allergy isn't a contraindication to the Moderna, Pfizer or Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccines, so you should be alright to get it. But do check with your GP in case you're also allergic to any of the excipients in the vaccines.

I had the vaccine on Saturday morning. As I’m a carer I felt a bit tired and dizzy that night. But I had a lovely sleep. Even got a lay in til 8. So all good from me X

I will be getting the vaccine when i am asked to so that i can still visit my youngest sister, sister-in-law and two nieces as my eldest niece who is 8 is disabled and her lil sister is a baby.
i will also be getting it as i have asthma and i do not wish to get co-vid.
i am also getting really fed up with hearing and reading about it now as it's not helping with my depression.

Well my wife got her text and the Oxford jab and caused zero side effects. My only concern about the process is not all will be ok with the communication tech like text or email. Apparently the commonest reason for those in the older age groups not attending for their jab. For me I am group 5 or 6 and apart from teachers trying to push in the queue, other groups are shouting they should be included ahead of 60 plus and long term sick. Then when is the second jab coming before we can get back to some norm. Certain variants appearing are causing the government to panic as they discuss extending the lockdown. Although they maintain the vaccine is still 60% efficient against the South African variant clearly with the areas where it appears are on further lockdown and mass testing. Roll on getting the old and clinically vulnerable through the process and perhaps we can get on with our lives and the economy going to pay for all this, stay safe all!

Hello everyone,
How are you today?
The pharmaceutical groups Pfizer (USA) and BioNTech (Germany) announced on Monday 9 November that their vaccine candidate is 90% "effective" in preventing Covid-19 infections, according to preliminary results of their large-scale phase 3 trial, which is still ongoing.
What do you think about this? Do you plan to be vaccinated as soon as the COVID-19 vaccine is on the market?
Feel free to discuss and share in the comments below!
Take care,
Courtney
