Hello everyone,

How are you today?

The pharmaceutical groups Pfizer (USA) and BioNTech (Germany) announced on Monday 9 November that their vaccine candidate is 90% "effective" in preventing Covid-19 infections, according to preliminary results of their large-scale phase 3 trial, which is still ongoing.

What do you think about this? Do you plan to be vaccinated as soon as the COVID-19 vaccine is on the market?

Feel free to discuss and share in the comments below!

Take care,

Courtney

@mr chipps What a shame that remembrance Sunday didn't go well. Nothing seems to be the same since COVID. My daughter actually lives in Elsecar, which is a lovely little place. Rotherham sadly is like a bomb site. We are having a cinema, hotel and many flats in the town, if they ever start on it. Still it's home , and I am born and bred here 69 years now. Hope you are having a good day, the weather is being kind for November so we  must embrace it.

Hi Wednesday . Live about 12-14 miles fromElsecar . They have band concerts some Sunday afternoons in summer . I sometimes visit Elsecar heritage centre and have a coffee  i am west Yorkshire born and bred and proud of my home town

Its been awhile since i visited Rotherham . Barnsley town centre has been turned into a glass monstrosity, not good for people who hate change ie with autism etc

Next weeķ i begin my favourite job in the grotto its hard work with frightened children , but lots of fun and very rewarding 😊 . So if i dont reply to peoples messages please forgive me ??

Well not being a Covid rabid panicker had my granchild over the weekend where she had a little temperature. So we have ended up with cold/flu symptoms as usual. Thankfully we had our flu jab and even our Covid booster. It should blow over in a few days, with a bit of luck 24 hours. Happens every year in the lead up to Christmas, these bugs that flood our schools. But we have our best shot with all our jabs, A&E always recommend I pop my wife in with these symptoms and we are over such panics over the last twenty years. Just keep a close eye on the warning signs, so no big deal and no panicking, the delights of getting old, stay safe!

@mr chipps‍... Wishing you well as Santa! Am sure the kids will love you, together with your wonderful caring nature and spirit!

I've been contacted about possibly resuming my voluntary work in one of our local Wellness Centres. I'm looking forward to doing what I can to assist.

I am so sorry to hear of your Parade it must have been such a disappointment for you it's so hard when you and other people in the forces dont enjoy a parade that means such a lot to remember all our wonderful forces that kept us so safe ,in all wars  my dad was in Palestine at the latter part of the second world war and because he was a prisoner he spent 28 yrs in a mental hospital and never came out alive we lost him in 1980 from falling from the top window of that hospital they put it down to death by misadventure, he was in the royal engineers and i was so proud of him like I am with all the other forces God bless you Mr chips and thank you Tigger

Well just ordered my Covid test online, apart from wanting my inside leg measurement it comes through the post tomorrow. If this is Covid then the vaccine has done its job, apart from feeling rough for two days with no sleep but am recovering. Considering I belong to the largest group of those dying from Covid I have survived without hospital. My wife who is permanantly on deaths door seems little affected, when challanged of having the grandchild over she states it's worth the risk. Schools are clearly the biggest infection area outside hospitals. One of my worries was the severe chest pains which could have been my heart but using my ECG established it probably not. The pain related more to the tightness in the chest caused by infection. The last place I would want to be is in hospital where you are guaranteed to get infected with Covid or some other infection with the dirty staff. So on the way to recovery, even had a snooze this afternoon and my head is clearing. Even my GP was not worrying about moving coming up appointments shorty and don't want them moved, great news if you GP are finally calming down and seeing people, stay safe!
