@Pisces1981  , In my opinion Fluoxetine works far better than Sertraline , It will take at least a few weeks for it to start working . I am sorry you have been feeling so low . I am taking Fluoxetine , I really hope it works for you :-)

Daren :-)

@xDarenx: Thank you. I really hope Fluoxetine has at least some effect on me as the Sertaline didn't make any difference to how I felt.

Update: I'm going back to the doctor on Wednesday to see how I'm getting on with my Fluoxetine. I feel that it hasn't made any difference despite me having been taking it every day since October.

Hello, forgive me for sound strange, as I have never done this before. I was first diagnosed with depression in 1999, after my marriage failed but looking back, I think i have been battling this since I was a child. didn't understand it then and to be honest I still find it hard to get my head around it. I have been taking tablets on and off since then, sometimes in the past stopping without my doctor permission. My doctor has change my tablets from Fluoxetine to Mirazapine as I was having anxiety and insomnia, this was three weeks ago. I'm sleeping at night now, but getting a heavy head through the day. Its a lottery in my surgery to see the same doctor and some are good but, well to say that the doctor I saw last made me feel worse after he spoke to me. It felt like i was back in school and being scolded by the headmaster. When i'm ask about how I'm feeling, its alien to me to express my feelings, never be taught how, just bottled it in!

Hi Guys and Girls

Is anyone else out there on Imiprimine for their Depression? I,m currently on 200mg per day, which is keeping me pretty stable at the moment. Some of the side effects are pretty crap though, but I guess you have to weigh up the pro,s and con,s. I keep trying to get my dosage reduce, but it normally ends in relapse.

Not really sure what I'm doing here but I'm just looking for somewhere I can express what I'm feeling, or in fact not feeling, the see if anyone can relate. My diary unfortunately can't give me feedback or relate!

I'm currently in a severe state of depression that has robbed me of everything that makes me who I am. I feel like years of untreated anxiety has conditioned me into a blank, one size fits all personality. Overtime that has now damaged my entire being, where I no longer have an opinion on anything, no judgement or reasoning and seem to have conflicting morals/values which are actually all the values of other people around me that I seem to absorb. I have no sense of self. I have nothing to say. Nothing ever stirs anything deep in me that gives me a sense of who I am. Has anyone else ever experienced this or experiencing it themselves?
