Hi Lakh 16; Thank you for sharing your story, It was good to read how you have approached your illness ;along with the styles adapted to address your illness.

Along with myself suffering with severe anxiety/depression one of my siblings was diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic ; thankfully, my parents were both qualified psychiatric nurses and so we were aware of mental health issues ,although it could be frightening for us as young children.; Friends would step back and fall away. Regarding mental health , you do find out who your real friends are.

Good for you getting the to point to do things that have made you feel good about yourself; that is the key to getting to a good place. It is hard for the medical profession to get things right regarding prescriptions; they can't take the risk of you harming yourself. My GP has only now [2yr+] starting giving me repeat prescriptions for every 2 months. It doesn't bother me as they are covering themselves so don't be too hard.

I wish you the very best of everything in your life.

Take care. x

Thank you all who have commented about my struggles. This was just the start of my problems needing to be solved - i have a long journey ahead of me. I sometimes think some of my siblings and some who i have worked with, should seek some help themselves. But the most important thing is who i pick and choose to have around me as family and friends during my recovery. If any of you need to chat regarding anything, please, feel free.

so true it was a counseller that made me realise my family were using me as a scape goat i have a few friends now and only the family i chose as they have described me as 'oh well you know how funny she can be'! some people cant cope with reality as long as my 3 children are happy and in my life i am happy i became a nanna yesterday so something good has happened for a change i dont need added stress in my life i would rather keep anyone else at a distance its the best way to deal with it.

Congratulations Nanna Hayley. Isn't it the best feeling in the world? The birth of my 1st grandchild helped me to focus on the good things in life. Putting things in to perspective is a grounding experience. Who needs nasty , negative people whether it be family or friends around you to knock your confidence when it is rock bottom?

I totally agree with you Lakh ,once you have accepted what is going on in your life and what small steps have to be taken to aid your recovery and get you to where you need to be on your journey; your life will become a joy to be embraced.

We all have our own paths to go down; some good and some bumpy but it is a journey we all have to endure.

I wish you both well on your individual paths. xx

I feel so alone. My awful Mother has turned my adult children against me and I have no one. Apparently I made poor choices of lifestyle when I was raising them as a single parent and I now have to pay for it. I had such low times suffering with bulimia and anxiety and depression but seems to count for nothing. My Mother is an evil, (yet church going) hypocrite who doesnt like it when I, as a 51 year old, make decisions that arent suitable for her. She has gone around extended family and i have been ostracised. I have such self loathing and think its better if Im gone. They all hate me. I feel worthless

@eloumol It is strange but sometimes the people who go to church are the worst! It is like they think that gives them a free pass to be disrespectful.
