This is an interesting discussion topic. People should listen to their bodies but if they disagree with a treatment or regime, they do need to tell this to their doctor so that you two can work to find middle ground. What do you think?

@LizziB Great if you can talk to a Doctor, my wife suffers low blood pressure in the hot weather and drops below 80/40, hospital emergency for us 60/30. We have found by reducing her tablets like water tablets etc., taking more salt. we can raise it a little before ending up at the A&E stage. Talking about it with Doctor or other medical personnal is useless these days. Then you make a phone call appointment you get a novice claiming it is to complicated for them.

So yes we alter her tablets, get her blood pressure up to prevent a hospital stay ourselves, the GP system is simply broken today. Just happy we have our faculties in place to make the right judgement, no doubt when we lose it we are gonners. The higher death rate beyond Covid is frightening, young and old which has been identified in heart and respiratory issues causing the excess deaths.

I have not fallen out with my doctors I will always discuss any issues affecting my well being with a hopeful joint decision of care.
