Hi everyone,

Living with type 2 diabetes often means paying close attention to what you eat, when you eat, and how you feel physically and emotionally. But it can also impact your social life in unexpected ways, whether it’s navigating meals out, feeling judged, or simply managing energy levels.

Let’s talk about how you’ve managed to balance your health needs with your relationships and routines.

  • Have you ever felt like diabetes limited your social activities or outings?
  • Do you feel comfortable talking about your diabetes in social settings?
  • What strategies or tips help you stay connected while managing your condition?

At my age you don't make a lot of new friends, the ones we have tend to be sticky. Most of them have some health issue going on or the other so it's just tacit understanding at this the point that we're not pigging out at the local soon as it's 5..

No issues with what I eat since on Semaglutide, the problem is not having enough sugar. So loads of chocolate bars and sweets every night. Dieting not an issue as another 3Ib loss today, shame about Cadbury's changing their recipe like everything else these days. We should discuss the terrible taste of food today as they replace traditional fats, sugar etc. for chemicals!
