My son had his large intestine taken out last month he has  mouth ulcer again is the colitis back

@David1976 Hello David1976, thank you for opening this discussion and for updating us on your son's condition. I'm sorry to hear about his mouth sores. Let me tag some other members who can possibly share with you.

As you all most likely already know, ulcerative colitis can cause sores on any part of the GI tract, from the mouth to the anus, and mouth ulcers can even begin before some of the more typical digestive symptoms.
Have any of you experienced mouth sores as part of your UC? How do you cope with them? Can you share any advice or support with David1976?

@David1976 I sometimes get mouth sores when I'm in a flare-up, so it could be the UC again. Or it could be a simple mouth sore. How is he doing now?

Hi David

I looked this up on the web about mouth ulcers in the mouth and these run 'hand in glove' with UC and can occur in any part  of the gut!  Great! bring it on.  Best wishes.
