I take cinnamon, chromium and a good vitamin supplement. I take extra vitamin B12 as I am low in this and it is one of the side effects of taking metformin.  I try and add turmeric to my meals.  One thing I find makes me feel really good is half a fresh lemon ( or a tablespoon of Cider vinegar) in hot water every morning,  takes a little bit of getting used to but helps remind me to follow a sugar free day and makes sweet food taste very sweet so I eat much less. I have increased my fluid intake with water being my   drink of choice and roobush tea and black coffee making up the rest.  i dont take fruit juice any more because of the concentrated fruit sugar but I do take a small glass of beet juice which I am convinced helps my blood pressure.
