I'm no medical expert but I think it is not good, the normal dose is max 3 per day. Maybe this article can help http://blog.aarp.org/2015/05/22/the-painkiller-sending-adults-55-to-the-er/

Hope you feel better and can find other solutions to your pain aside from painkillers.

All the best,

Gilda

I take tramadol 100 mg four times per day

Dihydrocodiene 90 mg at night

Gabapentin 600 mg three time per day

Amitriptyline 50 mg at night

and paracetamol 1 g four times per day

If I try and reduce the pain increases so i'm a firm believer if it helps take it lol

I'm taking tramadol 100mg slow release 4 a day, dihydrocodeine 30mg 4 a day, Pregabalin 50mg 3 a day, venlafaxine 75mg 3 a day, diazepam 5mg 3 a day, Zopiclone7.5mg 1 to be taken when I need it, loperamide, ventolin, seratide. I have a very long repeat prescription list! The pain killers do help with the pain although it depends how bad the pain is, i'm waiting to get medial branch blocks which are injections of local anesthetic in to the nerves in my back. Ive had 2 diagnostic appointments at the hospital and both worked great, but it only lasted for a day. I was wondering if anyone else has had these injections and if they helped them.

Iuse tramadol when it is bad but as I don't want to get addicted try and avoid them except at night before I go to bed .Otherwise I use paracetamol , a tens machine and a heat pad ,the combination seems to be working most of the time at the moment
