I have had poor sleep for some 40 years, I went to my doctors some 20 year ago to explain my condition but at that time they said they could do nothing . So foolishly I left it there , but my sleep got steadily worse over the years, until finally early this year I had a massive breakdown and attempted suicide twice, if I had have tripped on the second attempt, I would have been successful. I was diagnosed with severe sleep aponea and depression, I was tested overnight and given a lowstein prisma with a humidifier, I have had the CPAP machine for 2 months now and it is a remarkable machine, I was having 39 episodes an hour , now it has dropped to around 3 , however my sleep problem still exists, I still cannot sleep, I have to wear a full face mask with is not easy to get on with. I have a good sleep hygiene routine and I have a CPAP pillow , I am on medication however that causes insomnia, maybe I sleep around 4 hours a night. My job is very physical, my depression is better but has left me with episodes of rage that I have control over and start without warning. I am hoping to return to work just before Christmas but because my job is working heavy machinery I cannot return until my sleep improves and I can stop these rage attacks from developing, I need to get used to the CPAP machine, I will continue but I am running out of money and time , I have had CBT therapy but beedn told I need a more intensive therapy but the waiting time is months, and like many people I have not got 6 months .thank you for listening. Hi everyone ๐ How are you sleeping these days?
If you've been prescribed a CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) machine, you probably remember that very first night, the mask, the noise, the strangeness of it all. But over time, many people say they finally experienced deep, restful sleep, sometimes for the first time in years.
๐ด What was your first experience like?

Whether itโs been smooth sailing or a bit of a bumpy ride, your story might help others in the community who are just starting their CPAP journey.
Take care,
