i have severe constipation

I suffered from constipation before I was diagnosed . I'd constantly feel the urge to go to the toilet but it was very difficult to pass the stools sometimes. However since my diagnosis and after spending a week in hospital in March this year, I have been fine. The only time I get constipated is when I don't drink enough water . I take OCTASA (mesalazine) which requires you to drink alot of fluid as it can cause dehydration which can then lead to constipation.
Movicol/Laxido can help but you must always check with your IBD nurse/doctor before taking them.
