@GillianSTR I've been there, I know how awful it is. When my colitis was active I'd get B12 shots every month and that helped me a bit. I've heard Omega-3s can help too but I've never tried them.

I have a chronic bout of UC at the moment, besides all the usual problems which usually take over from getting up and last until 2.00pm. The fatigue is something dreadful - its like getting out of bed after have a terrible bout of flu and I don't know how to put one leg in front of the other. This has been going on since the 'lockdown' with a very small break in July. I feel washed out and only can do what I can very slowly. Dr has been in touch and to day she wants the specialist to see me. Do hope he/she has some suggestions! My husband passed away last year and I could not have looked after him as I can barely look after myself at the moment. Still there are some people in the world who have far bigger health problems that me so I must be greatful!

The past few months I've started having really bad fatigue too. I feel like I'm dragging myself about. I haven't gotten in to see my GP about it yet, but I'm not sure where it's coming from. Has anyone else had this?

Hi everyone, how are you today? Have you seen this older discussion?
Do any of you experience fatigue with your UC? If so, is it constant or does it come and go? How do you manage it? Is there anything that helps?

Hi, I've had UC for many years now, but these past few months I've really been hit by the chronic fatigue. I find it difficult to get myself up in the morning and by the afternoon I'm completely knackered. I barely have the energy to do basic household tasks without a nap or at least a strong coffee beforehand.
Does anyone have any advice? How do you cope with this? Has anyone else experienced more fatigue with age?
