I don't do well when it is very hot. It increases my pain. The sun and heat always trigger a migraine which just gets worse throughout the day and can go on for weeks.
My IBS also worsens during hot weather.
I feel uncomfortable and fibro just loves to exaggerate that feeling.
I don't know how to cope with it.

Hi everyone, how are you holding up today?
For many people living with fibromyalgia, summer isn’t always a season of relief, it can actually make things harder. Heat intolerance, worsened fatigue, brain fog, nausea, and even increased pain are just some of the symptoms that can flare when temperatures rise. Some of this may be linked to how our bodies regulate (or struggle to regulate) temperature, or how medications interact with dehydration or sunlight.
Others have underlying conditions like PoTS or hypermobility that make hot weather especially brutal. And sometimes, the problem isn’t the heat itself, it’s the disrupted sleep, inflammation, or sensory overload that comes with it.
☀️ So we want to hear from you:
Do you notice a flare-up in symptoms during the summer?
How do you cope when the heat feels unbearable?
Have you found any tricks that make a real difference?
