Has anyone with fibro or related illnesses managed to get registered with the government for shopping deliveries?

My wife and I both has asthma and she is 14 weeks pregnant. She has CFS and I have Fibro, CFS & EDS and struggle to get about but we seem to have been left off the list of the vulnerable. I understand there are a lot worse off than us but we don't have any family or friends close and rely on shopping delivery.

I rang Sainsburys and got on their "Vulnerable Customer List" and was told everything was ok then the next day our status was revoked.

Mark

Hello Mark, I'm sorry I didn't see this earlier, I haven't been on here in a minute! Did you manage to figure it out with Sainsburys? I've also been struggling with the deliveries, but fortunately I can send my husband out to do the shopping when we can't get a slot. I can't imagine what it's like for people like you who are both at risk. Have you checked with your local council? Some are organising deliveries with local volunteers, in my area they've organised on Facebook, maybe you can check there? Wishing you the best!

@MissFibro Hi, yes sorted it out. Sainsburys added us and they've been getting better and better over the last few weeks. We now get a slot every week so no problems there. The council have been good with helping get prescriptions but getting help with the garden is difficult (especially now they aren't collecting garden waste) and I'm too proud to ask for help locally. I've been doing a bit myself but the fatigue is killing me. Thanks for the tips.

Hi. I have been very lucky with a shopping slot with Sainsburys.  As I am very vulnerable and over 70 I get one of the government's free food parcels each week.  I have find them to contain  good basic food.

I've been struggling to get deliveries with Asda and Tesco but managed to get ones with Morrisons last Saturday and Iceland no problem once a fortnight. Only problem i had was Morrisons charged me £6 for delivery not sure if it was because it was a Saturday though. I have type 1 diabetes, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis  carpal tunnel and raynauds to name just some. I've not been given a vulnerable slot though.
