I suffer from terrible leg spasms that are so painful, my legs judder, I can’t keep them still.  I kick and thrash in bed at night and nothing relieves the discomfort.  I’m currently taking Co-Codamol, Propanolol (beta blockers) and Gabapentin, both disagree with me and I’m about to see my GP to get my meds changed.  I was formerly on Methocarbamol for ten years and this controlled the spasms.  Unfortunately I was taken off this medication as it was withdrawn from NHS prescriptions after decades and I was thrown into a nightmare of daily leg spasms.  I’d love to know if anyone else has leg spasms and if so please what meds do you take for this horrendous painful condition.  Thank you.

@LibbyABC Hi. I am on a similar mix of meds as you and I find that stretching exercises and yoga has helped quite a bit. And staying hydrated. But yes, you should definitely see your GP if you can't stand the treatments.

@LibbyABC I take Lyrica and it's been working well for me, but as it's a gabapentinoid I guess it wouldn't work for you? Did you manage to get in to see your GP before the coronavirus?

@Sunflower0 Ooh I've heard sciatica is excruciating, you poor thing! Is that something that stays with your for life, or does it go away on its own? I don't know much about it, I think I have an uncle who had it.
