Hello,

I've been having difficulties sleeping with my fibro pain. I'm almost due for a new mattress so I thought I would reach out to see if you all have a preferred type of mattress that you would recommend that works with, not against, your night time fibro pain.

Do you go for a memory foam? Traditional coil? Sleep number (air filled)? Hybrid?

Any advice would be appreciated. For reference, I've been using a traditional coil mattress for the last 7 years, it has not been great.

What kind of mattress do you have? Would you recommend it? Did you get it specifically to help with sleeping due to your fibro diagnosis?

As we know, pain is not the only symptom of fibromyalgia, the type of mattress can also affect heat retention and transfer (for those who suffer from excess sweating) and increase sensitivities to allergens. The type of mattress can also affect these symptoms as well. Does your type of mattress help with this too?

Take care,

Lizzi from the Carenity team

My wife who suffers from this condition, has tried all types and states soft tradional coil as best. She does not like memory or hybrid as she stated when she woke up it felt like you were in a bottom of a boat. She won't let us upgrade her old spring mattress but use thick mattress covers to maintain it!
