Have had one in each of my heels. I was given Corticosteroid injections that were extremely painful, however, worked wonders after 2 weeks no more pain.

Hello everyone, thank you all for sharing your experiences here!
For those of you who haven't seen this discussion, have you ever had bone spurs with your OA? How do you treat them? Do you just treat the symptoms and discomfort or have you had them them removed? What, if anything has helped?

Thumbs and fingers. Not sure about neck or lumbar spine. I have OA in all joints and the pain is total. I hardly go out for fear of falling, due to knees 'locking'. I have seen endless consultants and it just goes on and on. Due to have a TKR last year and cancelled due to Covid. Its 26 years since my knees and cervical spine started hurting.
I try my hardest to be positive but when the pain is at its worst (most of the time) I just cannot be that positive. Sending positive thoughts to you all that you get some relief from the constant pain. x

Getting them on my thumb joints and finger joints a knobbly. My little fingers now have enlarged finger joints on both hands. They throb at night, but i try to keep knitting for exercise plus if I'm concentrating it distracts from the pain. Hips i think either have spurs or getting those lumps areas near joints. Kills to lay on them. Ive also got very swollen legs, my right is much worse than left and they harden when I'm tired, it is fluid retention and I've had water tablets before but doesn't do much. It's arthritis, bad circulation because joints are swollen and sore plus that all restricts veins which carry the fluid away. I've had all the tests, kidney etc. so that impacts on my mobility and in that circle of movement causes pain, so not moving enough and then the swellings worse etc etc.

Hello,
Bone spurs (extra bits of bone, which feel like hard lumps, that form around the affected joint) are unfortunately a symptom of osteoarthritis that many people are impacted by.
Do you get bone spurs? If so, where?
