Being a typist and on the keyboard and laptop regularly, I find my left hand/wrist one of the worst affected areas now. I have to take breaks every now and then due to the pain, together with carpel tunnel which is sore when using my hands for many things i.e. washing dishes, loading the washing machine, making the bed, and more.
I've also found the last few days I have terrible neck and lower back pain, which I put down to osteoarthritis in the neck, and spasms in the lower back. I tried physio years ago for my back; it made it worse and I refused to go back for more. My physiotherapist sent a report to my GP who then sent me for a DEXA scan; osteoporosis and osteopenia diagnosed in 2018. I've since been on Risedronate, but no follow up yet.
Being a sufferer of epilepsy, one has to be cautious with other medications one takes for pain. I'm also on Aspirin so the GP told me to only take Co-Codamol when necessary. I took 2 yesterday, then had minor seizures last night so not sure if the Co-Codamol was the cause or whether the seizures were due to happen anyway. Last night I took Anadin (another one I'm not supposed to take due to Aspirin) but found this eased the pain for a couple of hours. This contains Aspirin and Caffeine, but it worked better than Paracetamol.
Spasms in the lower back are a regular occurrence with me, but somehow physio just doesn't seem to help!

Hi Katieoxo22 I have multi joint arthritis too. It just happens that the most painful is back and hips. I would love to get out and run. Truth is I struggle to walk and am in constant pain. There is never any respite it’s 24/7

Doing anything that involves bending or kneeling. Opening jars is impossible , turning on taps. Holding a cup or plate even is painful. Writing is also difficult. Walking any distance. Driving when my neck is sore as it’s painful to turn my head. Sleeping due to pain . Showering , dressing . The list could go on and on ! It impacts almost everything I do !

Walking, doing anything which means I have to walk, like hoovering, can’t climb stairs either. I do have a stair lift which is very slow and most times don’t get to bathroom quick enough. My sons tell me to move but i don’t really want to. It’s my home.
