Hello everyone,

How are you today?

The pharmaceutical groups Pfizer (USA) and BioNTech (Germany) announced on Monday 9 November that their vaccine candidate is 90% "effective" in preventing Covid-19 infections, according to preliminary results of their large-scale phase 3 trial, which is still ongoing.

What do you think about this? Do you plan to be vaccinated as soon as the COVID-19 vaccine is on the market?

@HarryChubb Great to read your post, As anyone on here who questioned the untested vaccines, was called "stupid,silly " and some people took it as a personal attack on them if you posted a different view. I declined the untested vaccine and will wait until it has gone through all the tests, which in one case will not be until 2023. When I asked my doctor how will the untested vaccine interact with the medication I take? His answer "We don't know "At least he was honest I personally know 2 people who have died after getting the untested vaccine, one was my mother in law the other person a neighbour.

i hoped that we had heard the last of whitecrosses demeaning the vaccine, i am sick f her doing her best to stop people from making their own decisions, without being influenced by people like her, i wish that the admin team would ban her prescence on this site once and for all

I cannot wait for my second dose ive had covid twice and second time I was in icu Oct/Nov 2020 and fighting for every breath and feeling ill no enery not even to hold my mobile phone ! couldn't speak just looking at my husband or kids and them being upset and I couldn't speak to fib to tell them not to worry I was doing well was the worst thing so to me the jabs the least of your worry s don't wait just have it ! if not just for your sake but for your friends and family too!

@Kelmot75‍ Hope its not long before you get your 2nd vaccination, and I also hope you are recovering well and managing to pick up strength on a daily basis.

@mr chipps‍ Thank you for putting your point across; I agree with you totally in this regard. People can make their own decisions without others demeaning the vaccines.

Obviously he/she has only one objective in mind... negative comments, and running anything and anybody down.

Lesmal , i think that if we can help each other on this site, then we are doing something worthwhile. such as supporting each other in genuine caring words or giving uplifting advice, which we can all welcome, but if a person only wants to try and constantly run down the discovery of the vaccine, which to me is a minor miracle then they are not working for the benefit of humankind, and so perhaps they should leave other people alone.

i know that not everything i say is not always positive, but i will never intentionally write anything that can upset of lower other peoples hopes and dreams. have a good weekend everyone, i am going to finish on a positive note"" i have just got the date and time for my left eye cataract surgery, and covid19 pre-op test. i will go in looking a handsome man?? and come out looking like a space man, so the lovely nurse informs me!!!!!

I just wanted to let you all know that I have had to moderate a number of comments in our discussion. I intervened on this subject a few weeks ago to remind us all that we should communicate with each other with respect.

I will only be visiting space for 24 hours . But my eye can take several weeks to heal and settle down. The operation is done while I will be awake. I can hear everything , but not feel a thing except a stream of fluid to bare my eye. 🤗
