Afternoon everyone i hope you all had a nice Christmas. I have a problem related to my RA/Fibro., I get on my feet and i start to sweat and then the fatigue kicks in. My question is anyone know how to control them. I did ring my Rheumy and he said mmto go onto the website called Versusarthritis. He said they were the experts, sorry but i said i thought you were. The sweating is from my shoulders upwards and it is making my life hell at the moment, The fatigue kicks in after lunchtime and then i am done for the day. Any advice will be welcome. xxxx

@Sylvia

Hi Sylvia, I have had to suffer with these fybro add ons for the last 25 years+.

Most embarrassing when out eating and started to sweat profoundly, drenching my shirt and then not being able to keep my eyes open due to the CFS, would end up either going out to the car and falling asleep while everyone else finished eating or making my excuses and going home. NON sufferers and 98% of the population don't know about this illness and the bolt on extras. These are just a couple of the bolt on extras that come with the illness and have to be lived with. There are numerous other bolt on extras, if you only have the 2 you are one of the less affected sufferers. Regards  Paul

Hello, thank you both for sharing with us! @Sylvia, are you still having these symptoms? Has anything helped?

Has anyone else experienced severe sweating and fatigue with your fibro? If so, how do you manage it? Can you share any advice?

I have fibro and have found that since taking Aromasin medication (post breast cancer surgery) I am sweating even more, not so severely as you Sylvia, but definitely going back to the menopause times (I’m 63 and finished with all that ages ago). I know it’s one is the side effects of the tablets but the thought of having to take them for five years is, I suppose, the price of taking life-saving medication. I’m so tired though - quite severe exhaustion. I’m in the middle of radiotherapy too - three more sessions to go - so I think that it’s that combined with fibro tiredness. I’m an however grateful that the cancer was found and treated so quickly so can’t really complain. 😊
