I like to go for a swim every Tuesday and Thursday. Sometimes it hurts, but I battle on through

Hi everyone,
I wanted to bring this discussion back because staying active with fibromyalgia can be a real balancing act. For some people, gentle exercise helps reduce stiffness and improve energy, while for others, it can feel difficult to know how much is too much, especially after a flare.
I'd love to hear from some of our newer members:
- What type of exercise or movement has worked best for you with fibromyalgia?
- How do you ease back into being active after a flare without overdoing it?
- Have you found activities like swimming, walking, yoga, stretching, cycling, or strength training particularly helpful, or are there exercises you avoid because they worsen your symptoms?

Everyone's experience is different, and sometimes hearing what has (or hasn't) worked for others can make it a little easier to find an approach that feels right for you.
Looking forward to hearing your experiences!

Hi
I don't know about you, but when I finally get out of a flare, I feel better if I do some exercise. I usually do cycling but I wanted to know what other activities everyone else does? I know it is the hardest to get yourself going again after a flare but it is the thing that makes me feel better the fastest. What about you?
