Getting a diagnosis for fibromyalgia is not an easy thing to do. The symptoms may differ from person to person, and there are a lot of symptoms that are common with other chronic conditions like arthritis.

How did your diagnosis was established and how long did it take? What specialist diagnosed you?

Did you do any tests? Was the doctor attentive to your complaints and did it take everything into account?

My fibromyalgia was diagnosed by my rheumatology doctor in hospital. A test for dry eyes was done ( sjorgrens syndrome) and I was found to have extremely dry eyes and mouth all linked to Fibromyalgia. She also touched points of my body susceptible to pain and mine were all very sensitive .Had blood tests which showed I had inflammatory arthritis and I also have osteoarthritis. Since then I have had bilateral total knee replacements. My consultant was very kind and listened to me and I see her every 3-6 months depending on how I am .
