Winter can be a tricky season when you live with type 1 diabetes. Between the drop in temperatures, changes in daily routines, holiday meals, and staying indoors more often, it's not always easy to keep blood sugar levels steady.
Some members have shared that cold weather affects their insulin absorption or makes them feel more sluggish, while others say the lack of sunlight and comfort eating can throw everything off. And then there’s the challenge of exercising when it’s dark and cold outside… it all adds up.
