I've not had any treatment (yet) but I do have the awful burning in my feet from suffering cauda equina in 1996, I get relief by placing my bare feet on a cold floor in summer months when it's at its worst.

Hello everyone, how are you holding up today?
One tough side effect that isn’t always talked about enough is peripheral neuropathy, nerve damage that can happen during or after chemotherapy. It often shows up as tingling, numbness, burning, or sharp pain in the hands and feet. For some people, it fades over time… but for others, it sticks around and makes everyday things, like buttoning a shirt or walking barefoot, much harder than before.
If you’ve experienced this, you’re not alone. Many members of our community say that it caught them by surprise or wasn’t clearly explained to them beforehand.
👉 Did you experience nerve symptoms during or after chemo?
👉 What helped you manage the discomfort or pain?
