It would be nice if technology could take some of the work out of managing diabetes. Having to think about insulin every time you eat must get tiring. I'd be a bit cautious about leaving everything to a pump, though. I'd want to know it could handle different meals reliably before trusting it completely.

Hi everyone π
For many people living with type 1 diabetes, eating isn't always as simple as just enjoying a meal.
There may be carbohydrate counting, checking glucose levels, calculating insulin and remembering to give a meal bolus at the right time.
Newer automated insulin delivery systems and hybrid closed-loop pumps can already adjust some insulin automatically. Researchers are now exploring technology that could respond to meals with even less input from the person using it.
For someone who has been making diabetes decisions around every meal for years, that could potentially reduce some of the daily mental load.
π¬ We'd love to hear from you:

Technology is changing quickly, but the people using it every day know which problems actually need solving.
If your diabetes technology could take one daily task off your hands, what would you choose?
With care,
Razar from the Carenity team π
