I was on Lyrica for about 9 months. It really helped with the electric shock feelings I get, but the side affects weren't worth it. My mind was foggier than normal (very bad memory problem) and my feet swelled. I do think the Lyrica helped to deaden some of my pain. Now I'm on a very low dose, 5mg, of Cyclobenzaprine 3X per day and also Amitriptyline once at night time. I still have pain, but I do believe this current treatment helps somewhat. I used to take Hydrocodone for pain, which helped a lot, but the doctor that I've had the past 5 years doesn't prescribe it.

I was on Lyrica for several years, it might have helped a bit but my husband discovered so many side effects he said I should stop taking it. I read about them, really scary! I only take Panadol now and put up with pain, putting that down to old age! It was prescribed for pain when my husband was in the last stage of cancer but it did not relieve his pain so he did not take it.

Hello everyone,
treatment for fibromyalgia can be very different from one person to another, and it often takes time to find what helps most.
What treatments have you tried for your fibromyalgia?
What has worked best for you so far?
And is there anything that has been harder to manage or less helpful for you?
Please feel free to share your experience with the other members. 💛
Take care,
Somya from the Carenity team 🌼
