My wife who suffers from Lupus has never suffered Anemia but has often in the past prescribed Prednisone, usually for chest infections. She enjoyed using Predisone because it give her a massive energy boost, so we got a very tidy house. But she no longer needs it as other tablets for other health concerns seem to resolve her reoccuring issues.
Life changing control came from seeing her hospital consultant who specialising in the disease spent a year or so getting the balance right for her condition. If you are just seeing a GP for medicine to control your issues I would suggest you get refered to your hospital's specialised clinic. GPs are only general medicine and it sounds like you need specialised help.

Prednisolone any type of steroid is not an easy fix I have been on it for absolutely years and 9 my body does not produce its own steroids anyway steroids is a long-term thing it does take a long time to workout how much you need

Hi,
So for the last couple of months, I have been battling re-emerging bouts of anemia, that my doctor says is because of my condition. I try to control my diet and I also take iron supplements. He has recommended prednisone to help with the inflation but I have tried it before and I didn't find it helpful. Does anyone have any other recommendations or advice to deal with this?
Thanks
