Hi ladies. Sam I am on pretty much the same gabapentin instead of pregabalin but I think they are close eniugh.  I saw a pain specialist last month who added baclofen three times daily. I was skeptical as nothing really made a difference but it has helped a little. It has taken that rock hard burning from my shoulders and neck and I am taking less tylex since starting baclofen.  I am also on a waiting list for a lidocaine infusion which apparently can (or not) soothe a misfiring nervous system. (No stats given but worth a go).

Before baclofen I used Diazepam for bad flare's. Often with tylex and tramadol. I've dropped the tramadol now as it gives me a headache and I suffer badly with migraine.

Hth.

Am on fentynl patches x 3 days.l as have a few issues Disc degeneration n fibromyalgia n ME and carpal tunnel both arms & hands. Was initially on butrans x 7 days did nothing for me. There is also versatis pain patches with 5% lidocain to place over my lower back pain area but our stupid Irish gov have taken em off our medical card meaning instead of 2 they now cost 11 euros😠 hurting those already hurt!

Cocodamol tramadol zydol are all opiate based n tear my stomach to bits n make me nauseous

Amitriptyline is used in low doses for nerve type pain but it made me sleep n already dealing with the chronic fatigue from the ME and Fibro it made no sence to make me more drowsy

We all find our own way don't we but it never really takes all the pain does it😢

I am a bit like Jaminator, suffered from severe bottom and top of spine injury, also diagnosed with vibrating white finger syndrome and angina all between  age of 44 and 47. Then 5 yrs ago aged 55 got told had fybromyalgia which put the pain already suffering up tenfold and on all the same meds as Sam and feel they do no good, the spine probs were bad enough and got told if I continued to work in the building trade would have ended up in a wheelchair within 3 yrs. Was on a Ketimin Fusion programme every 8 weeks for 3 yrs and got almost 5 good weeks out of the 8 with it and the other meds, but for some reason was taken of it and no one will tell me why or why I can't go back on it. Was filling out forms last week and had to stop and return to do them 3 days later and get someone to finish them and only sign them myself as hands getting so bad, the arthritis in them now as well certainly does not help at all. Pete

@PeteLamo  @Kaz1960‍ I'm sorry to hear that you are both in so much pain, I hope you can take comfort in knowing that you aren't alone and people are listening to you.

If you want to track your medications, don't forget that we now have a medications unit on Carenity (Give my opinion -> Medications) and that you can find the medications/treatments you've been taking for your fibromyalgia, rate them and give your opinion so that other members could learn from you.

The more members comment on the medications, the more useful this unit will become.
