Yes I definitely felt like this as seeing my friends and family pass away with cancer it made me scared to close my eyes as I was scared that if I closed my eyes I also wouldn't wake up, but I spoke to my breast cancer nurses and said I wasn't the only one that had those thoughts, ad they found me help, it still worries me as when I finished my treatment I didn't have that shoulder to rely on but because I have such a wonderful family I know I am OK and if I need to talk about anything they will listen as I have so many life threatening illnesses I try now to carry on with my life but I still have the fear maybe it's because of my age but I do take amytriptyline and canderstartan and it does take me a while to sleep but I know I have to carry on with my life as I don't want my family to worry as I know it hurts them when I do so I just take one day at a time so please try not to worry as you are not alone there are many like us. I am afraid of dying and no one finding me for a long time i am not afraid of death anymore, as i have several oved ones waiting for me in heaven such as my angel wife, my middle son and his daughter. 2 sisters and many more
i used to be afraid of death but now i accept that it will happen one day , i have been on my own nearly 30 years and the loneliness gets me down especially during the winter time.
i love travelling but not on my own , so i dont travel much, as single supplements average 40%

Ever since I was diagnosed, I have had a fear of death. I am in remission but I still get anxious and sometimes am scared to sleep in case I never wake up.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks.
