I was diagnosed in my late teens so 35ish years ago, normally I’m able to keep it under control with the odd flare up but since Christmas and having a very bad case of flu I’ve struggled everyday, I’ve had 2 intensive courses of steroids 2 months in total and not getting anywhere. I was due to have some test and further investigations done but then we went into lockdown and I’m shielding so I don’t feel as though I’m getting anywhere at the moment.
sorry for the long post. Just helps getting it off my chest so to speak.

I was diagnosed at 7 and I'm now 62 next week, so a long time ago.   Been ill all my life and got put on steroids at 17.  My kids are all really worried at the moment that I will get it so as I'm shielding I haven't had my kids over for 11 weeks.  Have a 10 week grandson I'm dying to meet by I suppose it will just have to wait.

Hopefully not too much longer xx

Hello everyone

first time posting, hope everyone is well.

i was diagnosed when I was 9 I am now 37 after my grandad seen me struggling I then got diagnosed from my doctor. I have also suffered from bad eczema since birth.

i am finding my asthma is bad just now, I think I have had a few attacks I have always just managed to feel better by taking my inhaler and never been to hospital with it but I think there is a few times lately where I should have went to the hospital to be checked out.  I am scared of getting medical advice as I Dnt want to be seen as wasting there time.

i am on easy inhaler budesonide twice in the morning and twice at night, and ventolin as and when required.

Andrea x

Hi, I was diagnosed a few years ago with adult-onset asthma. It was quite a shock since asthma doesn't run in my family and I was pretty active. I love sport, especially basketball, and I've been active my entire life. I had severe and repetitive bronchitis for several months and it just wouldn't go away, and then I started having breathing issues when doing sport and eventually had an official attack mid-match. After a hospitalisation and many tests I was finally diagnosed. It's been an adjustment and I still have a hard time believing it.

Hope you all are well and safe!

I have just had a flare up and was quite wheezy when I went for a blood test and was directed to the Dr. I was given 5 days of steriods and had a covid test which was negative. I have just finished my steriods however my peak flow has not returned to my best and reads 280/290 instead of 350. Presently I feel tired so going back to work isn't an option at the moment. Do you think another course of steriods would help.
