Five days after inserting a stent into a completely blocked oesophagus because of the size of the tumour, still suffering from strong pain across the chest and stomach and... still unable to swallow either liquid or solid! Any advice of what should be done to remedy the situation? Many thanks.

Hello all, how are you today? For those of you who have had an oesophageal stent put in place, can you share a bit about your experience? How was your recovery and adjustment after the procedure? Can you share any advice with @DominiqueL‍?

After discussions with a surgeon for my dad he recommended acupuncture. Has anyone found anything that can help fight this type of cancer? Thanks

@DominiqueL h@Courtney

hi how are you now? Had the pain eased.  We are in a quandary about having a stent fitted for mum but have been told it can be so very sore. I hope you feel better

Hello, I was diagnosed with lung and oesophagus cancer in May 2021 and given 3 to 6 months,

I wanted quality of life rather then being ill with the chemotherapy, I declined it.

I was mobile until 5 weeks ago when I was admitted into hospital with pneumonia, I was told the lung cancer had grown, they didn't mention my oesophagus, 4 days ago i felt a lump in my throat and hard to swallow even fluids.

I read on Carenity that a stent could possibly help, any information would be appreciated, many thanks
