Hey @maury58 ! How are you?
Working with costumers can be very difficult, and I hope you learn to cope with it in the best ways possible. Do you have a therapist or someone you can talk to about your emotions on daily basis? Thank you for starting this discussion and I will try to tag some members who might want to share their emotions and opinions on this topic!

@Polina.K Depression and anxiety interfered with my application to work, when I was working. This went on for many years until I had to leave my job. I felt lost for a while but then I started trying to do things, in the garden and helping at home; then I went to Rehab and I learned basic computer skills, which enabled me get a clerical job after a few years. When I lost my first job, my doctor felt I was better off out of it as I was unhappy there. Life went by quickly. I lost my first job in 1986 and I am retired for many years and I am an old man. Time flies.

It used to affect my work before I retired. As I didn't sleep well it affected my concentration and I found it hard to be positive. Now I am retired I find it harder to do voluntary work mainly because of insomnia and low mood. I try to keep going inspire of my low mood.

I take each day as it comes, try to have a focus for that day. Today is pretty good, but it gives me a nudge every now and again. H

AmbassadorLizzie when we loss loved ones some people are expecting to grieve in the same way with each bereavement, and are even more upset because they dont. this can be for many reasons, for example it could be the age of the loved one, how close you were to a certain person, how well they physically or emotionally knew a loved one. or lastly some of us may never have met a loved one for many reasons. or if physical events had taken place ,and a loved one could not be viewed by family and friends
this happened me was because, my son and i parted with bad blood between us, and when his baby daughter was born , and died age 50 minutes i was banned from attending her service or internment, her name was Rebecca Jade, but i called her Becky, and i bought her a small headstone and i go to her grave at least once a month with fresh flowers. i will always love my grandaughter, but possibly not as much as my Angel wife or son, who took his own life.?

Hi everyone,
I have a job that is very customer focused. Usually I am able to 'turn on' a fake smile and act like person that is removed from my feelings. But recently, it's been harder to play this fake character. Just thinking about going to work and needing to be this person is too much to handle. I've even had to call out because it just felt impossible. Do you have an outwardly customer centric or people centric job? How do you do it when you have severe depression?
I really need tips of how to continue with my days, I'm getting worried..
