My epilepsy commenced at the age of 16 after hitting a diving board at 14. My mother was my pillar of strength and made me accept the diagnosis, be independent and have the courage to carry on with life.
I have made myself stronger and wiser by advocating and educating the community about epilepsy, giving advice and support to many, having willpower, patience and understanding to continue the battle 52 years later.

Hi everyone,
Living with epilepsy may impact more than your health, it can also influence how you see yourself. Maybe it’s changed how you plan your day, how independent you feel, or even how you relate to others. Some people say it made them feel stronger or more aware. Others say it complicated their sense of identity.

Let’s talk about the emotional side of epilepsy, without filters or judgment.
