Good advisor
I'm getting more triggered by air pollution than before. But since the area I'm living in is getting more congested, it may be because of this. When I took a holiday in the Alps last winter, I had no attacks at all because the air was so clear.

Hello everyone,
How are you holding up? Have you seen this older discussion?
Asthma triggers run the gamut from environmental factors (pollen, pollution, dust, mould, damp, cigarette smoke, etc.), to physical factors (exercise, emotions, stress, food, etc.) and change from person to person.
What triggers your asthma? What do you to avoid or limit your exposure to your triggers? Can you share any advice with us?

Hi, cold weather, car fumes, cigarette smoke, dog dander are my main triggers. Also real tiredness and stress can aggravate it too.

My asthma is triggered by so many things it is crazy. Emotionally problems like when my mum died stress, hot humid or cold weather, exercise many allergens like pollen, dust etc, smoke, people smoking or vaping near me, strong perfumes, pet dander pollution such as diesel fumes. I also have a hiatus hernia which aggravates my asthma and suffer from bronchial asthma and COPD. There are probably more but they are the main ones.

I have asthma and COPD but the thing that triggers my asthma is fog. I know it's foggy before I see it. My first ever asthma attack was when I was about 9yrs old. Myself and my cousin went to a carnival where there were swing boats and the like. The fog came down and the wheezing and coughing started. That was it for me. Emergency services were called and I survived. Things were touch and go for a few hours.
Asthma left me for a while in my teens but returned in my late 20's. Since then fog has always been my scary trigger.

My triggers are doing too much as in too much exertion and dusting and hoovering really get to me so it has to be done daily or twice daily..I have dogs but I am fine with them..also too much stress affects my breathing and I sometimes think it is a sort of panic as well as my asthma

@MarinaS my symptoms of hay fever is itchy eyes and nose, sneezing sometimes a cough and a tight chest and also sometimes hives and ticklish throat

I have a dust allergy, so if I am moving items around that have not been moved for a while it can be an issue. When changing from summer to winter clothes, if the clothes have not been worn, I have to wash them before. Otherwise I come out in hives, my eyes start itching and my chest gets tight . Cleaning products like Bleach aggravatemy asthma. The other thing is certain foods, cooking with turmeric and also anything containing chilli can effect my breathing. The weather can effect my asthma at times but I am unable to wear a scarf over mymouth, when cold, as any possible fibres or dust irritate my asthma

Hello everyone,
I am interested in hearing about what triggers your asthma? Is it several things? And what do you do to prevent it?
Good day to you all,
Marina
