I too use a pulse oxi meter to measure my oxygen levels as I have to maintain them at 88% or better. I'm on oxygen therapy and without an oximeter I would find it very difficult to judge whether or not I need to use the oxygen.

I have good oxygen levels when resting 96 but down to 87 when exercising. I use spireva and take Serraenzyme which helps keep the inflammation under control. Unfortunately this has to be bought, works out a tad expensive if my breathing gets bad and I have to increase the dose, I was prescribed it in Spain. It is prescribed in many countries but doctors are not even supposed to mention it here.
