As a "premie" with cerebral palsy, I believe trauma is one of the most over-used, and misrepresented, words in the English language. Anxiety, with its various incarnations and applications, is a much more appropriate foundation.

I'm an angry person and it has got any better with age (67).I had a troubled childhood,my parents would go out and drink come home and row and fight when we were in bed (My 4 brothers and I). It was horrendous to be in bed and have to put our fingers in our ears to try and block It out .It didn't work very well and my eldest brother would have to try and stop them (he was just 14). He had some beatings from just trying to stop them .Police got called and once my mother had her jaw broken in one of their fights .I'm sure my anxiety comes from our experience of their fights

@Carlfish - This is exactly why I made my comment. Every bad memory does not require a label. It is long past time to move on.

Hi everyone,
How are you doing today?
Loneliness and childhood trauma can manifests itself later in life in the forms of anxiety, depression and addiction. It can often be difficult to pinpoint the cause but can be discovered through therapy and self reflection.
Do you know if your anxiety/addiction/depression comes from childhood trauma? How did you discover it? What steps have you taken to heal your trauma?
Take care,
Lizzi from the Carenity team
