Hello .. I agree. I'm on fostair , twice a day . Montelukast once a day. I've had three lots of steroids since christmas. I have had no letter either.
I work for a gp who has sent me home. I have to self isolate. On the asthma website hit says that if you on these then you should be isolating. Yet my gp thinks not. I truly am confused

@Jinty63 no I still have to pay her to get letter how gps can profit at a time like this I’m not sure but fingers crossed I will have what I need this afternoon I’m wondering if this letter will be any different from nhs letters that had been first sent out to those at high risk?

Hi all just an update I received my shielding letter in post this morning no need to go to gp and pay, I have now forwarded onto employer who can now hopefully put me on furlough. Hopefully one less thing to stress and worry about.

@Sharon70 I have asthma and COPD. I am using Duo-Resp Spiromax, 2 puffs twice a day. I have been self-isolating since the end of March and received a letter from my boss saying they need a letter from my GP or the NHS to guarantee full pay otherwise I will only receive SSP. Now I spent ages on the NHS website to no avail and finally contacted my GP. I was told that I was in Group 2, whatever that is, don't need a sick note as this is for people with symptoms but they did send me a text to forward to my boss saying that I was 'vulnerable'. I live in Margate, Kent. The NHS were supposed to be sending letters to all vulnerable people but I have found out that a lot of people haven't received one. I would suggest contacting your GP.

@ekelouise I think that the best thing to do is call you GP, I didn't know what to do either, your doctor's surgery should have all the information you need.
