Hello everyone,
How are you doing today?
Are you familiar with Gabor Mate? He is a physician and author with a background in family practice and a special interest in childhood development, trauma and potential lifelong impacts on physical and mental health including autoimmune disease, cancer, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, addictions and a wide range of other conditions.
He is famous for saying: "Trauma is the invisible force that shapes our lives. It shapes the way we live, the way we love and the way we make sense of the world. It is the root of our deepest wounds." He thinks we should seek to understand the sources from which troubling behaviours and diseases spring in the wounded human soul. He points us to the path of individual and collective healing. https://drgabormate.com/the-wisdom-of-trauma/
What do you think about this? Have you done work to learn about your traumas? Have you worked with your therapist to heal?
Share your opinions and experiences!
Take care,
Lizzi from the Carenity team
