Hello everyone,

Patients with chronic respiratory diseases such as COPD are part of the population at risk of complications from Coronavirus infection. It's really important to follow recommendations and guidelines published by the government and the NHS in order to best protect ourselfs from infection.

Feel free to consult our two recent articles on the coronavirus and chronic illness for more information:

Coronavirus: What do you need to know?

Coronavirus and chronic illness

I've created this discussion so we can pose any questions or concerns about the current pandemic or just generally share our feelings about what is going on.

Have you consulted the recommendations? Who informed you first: you doctor, your pharmacist, a relative? Have you been taking any particular precautions? Have you been self-isolating? Do you have any advice for others?

Take care,

Courtney

I had a letter after phoning my gp it was late I didn't receive it until mid April I work in care so in March I phoned my manager up and asked what their policy was explained about my copd and he told me to stay home now I am on furlough I don't know how long for as I would presume we will be the last ones to get back to normal

Good morning everyone,

How are you today? emoticon cute

How are you managing your COPD now? Is it more complicated this time of year? Have you returned to a "normal life" after these few months of lockdown?

Feel free to share! We are all here to help each other!

Take care,
Courtney

I've been called back into work from the 29th June, so should be available to tackle the second wave head on. Thanks Boris.

I had corona virus last year at end of March then my legs started swelling and have had muscle pain ever since my doctor doesn't believe in long covid so I feel like a fraud but had to give up my job as was a carer out in community and even after I stopped working sometimes can't do very much because of this also had to go and get my heart checked out because of arrithyma problems so anyone else had similar problems with doctor or anything thanx
