Hello @Petersson, thank you for opening this discussion! Let me tag some other members who can possibly share with you!
Hello all, how are you doing?
Will you be getting the COVID-19 vaccine? For those who already have, what was your vaccination experience like? Did you have any pain or side effects? Did your doctor give you any advice or guidance about the jab?

I ha e had my first injection and am waiting for second . It was ok not many people there and social distancing was applied . Only side effects were feeling like I had been run over by a truck which only lasted 24 hours and a hard lump in my arm which was sore for almost 3 weeks

@Ingirid Thank you for sharing! I've heard that flu-like symptoms and arm soreness are common. Do you know which vaccine you got? Everyone has been swearing up and down that there's no risk for us COPD patients so I'm glad to hear that it's true and it doesn't impact our breathing or anything. Not that I thought it would, but with how quickly everything has gone I guess part of you does wonder. Looking forward to my turn!

@Petersson had both of my jabs. Had them 3wks apart. First one made me really nauseous and a sore arm for a week. Second was much better an only a sore arm 4 a week. Had the Pfizer jab

Had my first jab in February, Astra Zenica. It was fine no problem at all, the arm was a tad tender the next day but that's all. Now waiting for the follow up one.

I haven’t had my injections yet, I was in hospital again with pneumonia......I apparently have to have the Pfizer because of a previous dvt , Dr was hoping for the delivery of it while I was in hospital.....
I don’t know about any of you but I’m getting sick of going to hospital this is now 5x in a year. Get put on to antibiotics by drip and also steroids continuously for a week, nebulize 4/5 x per day. Come home still on steroids for this week, finished my antibiotics last week and my chest is already starting up. I’m so over it. Any suggestions to prevent this from happening all the time.

I had my first jab (Pfizer) in early January and the second nine weeks later. No ill-effects at all. I would not be at all surprised if I were to be offered a booster jab in the autumn.

Hi all,
I wonder if any of you have had your COVID jab yet? I just got the call with my appointment and I'm looking forward to it. Can anyone share what it was like? Have you had any reactions?
Thanks in advance
Petersson
