Cramping in my rib cage, possibly associated with periods when coughing more, but not a direct correlation.

Cramps and general pain in joints. Hands lock and if I sit for too long my knees cramp up but if I stand my back is bad

Coughing fits are embarrassing, but not as embarrassing as the choking feeling, I get very tired and often get cramp in my chest muscles

My worst symptom to control is the cough, especially when you can't walk from one room to another without coughing or the continuous cough when a cold or the like attack. I notice some say joint pain but mine is due to arthritis does COPD cause joint pain ? Inhalers cause cramp but thats not the same as joint pain. The grip in your hands seem to be worse as the body gets tireder, but rest helps that.

@JazzyC it was like reading my symptoms. I suffer exactly the same, my Dr has never mentioned the connection with inhalers and cramp, he blames everything on my Arthritis.

i suffer from fatigue, it's worse when my oxygen level drops below 95. Shortness of breath with the slightest slope. Can inhalers cause cramps? I have been suffering badly with them. Extra magnesium helps a bit. I had 'Flu in March got upper back ache and mucus production increased, still trying to improve that. Doctors do not tie these symptoms together. I resent the implication that it is "old age". I just want to be as well as I can for as long as I can.

@JosephineO my breathing is awful can’t walk to the next room without losing my breath. Pauline

Hello,
Unfortunately COPD brings a lot of harsh symptoms with it...from coughing and fatigue to shortness of breath.
Which symptom do you, or your loved one, find the most difficult?
