I bought the air physio and had used it twice when I suffered a collapsed lung and was rushed to hospital, On finally getting home again I went to use the Air Physio but on the information sheet it stated not to use if you had ever suffered from a pneumothorax so a lot of money wasted.

I have had one for around 5 years now. I use it when I need it to Loosen up mucus in my lungs so I can cough it up. I'm glad I bought it.

@fourwinds I rarely have to use it maybe just a few times per year, when my lungs develop more mucus I use it and drink lots of water.
I have preventative measures to avoid having my lungs fill up with mucus. The main thing is that I have a prescription for Azithromycin to take daily, or every other day. Plus other things to limit or eliminate mucus.

@John138 Thanks for explaining, that’s helpful to know. It’s good that you only need to use it occasionally when the mucus builds up.
The azithromycin is interesting too. I’m not on anything like that at the moment, but I might ask my doctor about it if my symptoms get worse. Have you had any side effects from taking it regularly?
Thanks for sharing!

@fourwinds I haven't really notice any side effects from taking it, although I have had severe side effects with other medications... Which I don't take anymore.
I'm very happy and thankful with the health that I have, I could be worse.

@John138 Thanks for sharing that, it’s really helpful to hear about your experience. I’ll mention it to my doctor next time I see him and see what he thinks. Take care!

I’ve found that it works best for clearing mucus right at the end of an exhale. I don’t breathe out until there’s absolutely nothing left, but stop just before that point, which seems to be the most effective for me. It usually makes me cough and bring up mucus. It has also been helpful for coughing fits and dry coughs, especially during the night. Don't see a life-changing effect on lung function, but I do feel that it makes breathing much easier. I use it both in the morning and before bed.

Hello everyone. I have seen an advert for the new air Physio. I wondered if anyone has tried it yet before I purchase one. ? It is hand held and you blow into it, it is supposed to clear your lungs.
