I have to be very careful with what I drink as lots of drink has gluten and wheat in as being a coeliac I can only non gluten and wheat and it is very hard when celebrating or Xmas time or holidays when I. Celebrating anything I drink preseco or gluten free beer or can of coke can't drink bottle ones as they are made differently it is very hard to know what is safe and what is not that is why I joined coeliac UK because they have a scanner that is for coeliacs and to me I scan everything just to stay safe as I was diagnosed when I was 49 but been like this from birth so everything I enjoyed having was slowly killing me that's why I was anorexic had 2.5 foliate.. Suffered with anomeia left me with brittle bones which I didn't have any calcium my teeth was crumbling had to have them all extracted by an operation which meant I couldn't have false teeth for an Year, so if you have stomach problems, indegestion, then get checked out,. Hi @anxietyisme
How are you doing today?
Becoming jittery after drinking coffee is a common side effect. Let me tag a few other members who may be able to recommend other beverages to you.

Do you get jittery after drinking coffee? How anxious do you feel after drinking coffee? Do you drink an alternative beverage that keeps you up/stimulated but doesn't make you jittery or more anxious?
Let's share!
Take care,

Regret, I love my coffee and am probably one of the lucky ones that it does not affect me. Perhaps because it is decaffeinated, I do not know. I am allergic to milk so drink mainly black tea. When having bouts of insomnia, I have found that chamomile tea relaxes me and helps me sleep.

Hello, @lesmal! How are you doing today?
Have you tried alternative milk? For example oat milk or almond milk? What do you think about them? Are you allergic to those as well?

@Polina.K Thank you for asking. I am allergic to any form of milk, together with wheat, dairy, nuts, seafood and more. I take 10mg ceterizine daily for my allergies. My mum was very allergic prone also so it's been a constant problem.

I take each day as it comes, try to have a focus for that day. Today is pretty good, but it gives me a nudge every now and again. H

hello
I have anxiety and coffee usually makes me too jittery. Do you drink an alternative? I was thinking of trying matcha but heard it was stronger. I've been drinking black tea so long I don't get enough of a pick-me up to keep me going. So I'm looking for something in between that keeps me up without jitters.
Any suggestions?
