Hello,

I've not sure what has changed but I've been having digestion problems. I have been getting the runs when I go to the doctor or in other oddly stressful situations. For example, this Christmas while trying to go shopping when shopping malls are full of people. My doctor says its my anxiety. You can imagine the added stress that comes with needing to find a washroom immediately. I never used to be like this, and I almost am wondering if it is something besides my stress. Does anyone get diarrhea due to their stress/anxiety?

Thanks

Do you get diarrhea caused by anxiety? What about other digestive issues? How did you find out it was caused by anxiety? How do you cope?

I had a lot of problems but I was sent for a endoscopy and had blood tests and it was found that I was a coeliac and had been since birth I was 49 when I was diagnosed I felt very poorly had stomach cramps ,anaemic, my foliate level was 2.5 and I had very brittle bones also I suffered with mental health and I was anorexic to straight away I was put on a gluten and wheat free diet and I have to stay on this it has given me many more illnesses on top so if you are worried I suggest that you seek medical help ask for a blood test but definitely get it checked I could have died if I hadn't of got medical help please let me know how you get on love Tigger

I have bloating and stomach pains. Recently, at the supermarket, I bought a bottle of Kefir yokurt with friendly bacteria and it seems to help with the stomach pains and bloating. It will take time before I know if this is the answer

Yes, and I also have Asperger Syndrome, Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Complicated Grief Disorder and Gastroesophagul Reflux Disease. I identify with having anxiety -oriented diarrhoea, too.
