My daughter in law is like this , has everything , puts my son down and he gives her everything , so heartbreaking to watch , but he puts up with it for the sake of the children . Her priority is money , which she has plenty of , does anyone else have this problem , how do they cope with it ?

Hi @Silverlady,

Thank you for opening up about this, I can only imagine how upsetting it must be to watch someone you love stay in a painful situation, especially when it involves your son and grandchildren. It’s clear that you care a lot and feel helpless in this situation, and your frustration is completely understandable. You’re not alone in facing complicated family dynamics.

Has anyone else here ever struggled with being in or seeing a loved one in a relationship where they feel diminished or unappreciated?

How do you cope when you feel powerless to intervene, especially for the sake of children?
