hi veranique i read in a book called shot the damm dog that there is a percentage of people that medication just dosnt work and im one of them i have been on countless different anti- depression  and none helped other than make my suicidal thoughts worse , no sleep etc etc ,think what im trying to say is keep going back and tell them docs or cpns that they are not working they are there to help you what mite not work for 1 might work for some else, just dont give up keep knocking on them doors, ptsd is a bummer to medicate for cause no 2 people are the same.... im now on vensir xl for depression , pregabalin and quietiapine  for my ptsd and d.i.d , but the best thing i found was having someone who would sit and talk over a hot choc about anything other than how i feel to feel normal even for a couple of mins , and having my daughter just text me out the blue with some really silly question, or a smiley emo or for can i have some money plz dad  lol but like i say everyone is different in there own unique way ,, emoticon smile

Hello Veranique At my worst time, I was prescribed many medications, a cocktail of three of these caused more problems, especially paranoia and suicidal feelings. It was hard, but I slowly came off all medications, and returned once again, to practicing (more seriously this time) mindfulness, and getting out more walking This has worked for me, but I am not being complacent about my progress, as I know depression will always have to be managed Wish you well in your endeavours to manage your situation
