So after a long battle, with mental health since 9 years of age also physical and mental abuse, then I was given away to a stranger really. The at 16 joined the Army and at the age of 17 and a half, I faced a 2 and a half year posting in Northern Ireland back in 88. Then when I left in 91. I have been left that long I now have traumatized brain damage, from the very people we fight and die for.
Anyway, my point is after a 20-year battle I am proud of myself for helping in the Armed Force Conivent and Mental Health taught in school. Still much to do also and hope everyone is using the free choice to be Happy. :) Keep Safe

Hello. I think I have completely forgotten what happiness is. I am on medication and I think it helps a bit. I have not had a friend for over 25 years and I always feel scared. I find it impossible to talk to people. I am lucky to have a partner and children but unfortunately I have lost the ability to feel joy or delight in anything anymore. I find it difficult to even think about talking to my doctor about this. I am embarrassed, nervous and quite ashamed.

Well here's what I did, I drew 2 pictures of the human body on 1 I wrote down all the names I heard people call me. On the other = What I liked and who I want to be and want people to think of me. Never looked back if it helps anyone. :) Peace out

@Daisydef I have all the above, But pulling myself away from that and everyone, plus using things like no TV only music after 4 pm every day and I also cycle and force the emotions of happiness around me, or what's the point? Peace out

Here's something else they don't teach us, depression on its own is nothing more than a lifestyle choice, or the people we hang around full stop. But if you have taken these choices and still suffer then that screams underlying problems. Why I say this is when I left the Army in 1991 I ended up in prison for 3 years for theft only. Why when I left I had no family so I searched for honour and loyalty and guess where we find it? Yes among thieves wtf. Anyways I have fought back at the age of 38 and now 53 now with traumatised brain damage and I reverted back to the morals and values we fight and die for. So all the 7 deadly sins are out the window for me. Why I hear you say because We on the front Line suddenly learn the free choices we fight and die for the 7 virtues. So once I realised that I started to recover and hope it helps someone. Also Atheist
