Hey guys,

We know that psoriasis can be really visible depending on the part of the body we have it and this can some times affect our self image perception.

What do you think about this? Does it has changed the vision of yourself?

Feel free to share your experiences

I have had psorasis from head to toe, and its starting to clear and i'm not using anything. It's gone from my head to waist and its slowly fading on my knees. I just suffer with the back of my legs at the top now. it does be really sore.

Thanks for sharing elishak4289,

It is good that it is clearing out, did you change something on your diet or the weather is getting better? Or you actually did nothing?

Good to know you are getting better.

All the best

hi I'm new !! I have serve psoriasis !! I've just gone onto Ciclospron !! Has anyone else used ciclospron if so did it help at all ? I've only just started taking it after trying everything else !! I felt like I had nothing else to lose by trying it ...as I've lost everything to psoriasis anyway !! Mostly my self confidence .

Hey everyone,

I have had psoriasis like forever! I've also tried everything and some times I feel that this will never end! The only thing that has helped me lately is to use some aloe vera and stoped eating gluten. It is true that when ever I go to hot sunny plances it gets sooo much better, so I think I am going to start some phototherapy also, a friend of mine suggested it. Maybe that can help you also gary08, I'll keep you posted on the phototherapy.

Cheers

It has really haunted me my whole life. It is the worst thing to feel different.

I also started phototherapy and has helped me a lot. I didn't know about gluten, but I might try it. There is nothing here to loose right?

I think that that is one good thing. It has fucked up my life scince little, but it has make me fearless cause I don't care anymore, I have nothing else to loose.

my condition effects my confidence completely. for the first three years of my condition I kept it completely covered at all times. eventually my doctor convinced me to let the sun get to it and with the support from my husband one day I decided to wear some boots and a skirt home from work as it was a lovely sunny day. there was a grand total of four and a half inches showing over the knee area and I had walked less than 100 yards when a car with a woman and two men in pulled over where I was walking and started shouting the most horrible things to me calling me things I refuse to repeat and said I should lock myself up and throw away the key better still kill myself so I didn't inflict it on others needless to say I ran back to work crying and locked myself in the staff toilets it took my husband over an hour to get me to unlock the door (we worked in the same place at the time) two weeks later I over heard a customer complain about my skin and said they shouldn't let someone like me work there to one of my managers and to my amazement she agreed with him. I quit my job not long after and stopped leaving the house except for hospital and doctors appointments eventually I started seeing a therapist. I try my best to ignore peoples ignorance and stupidity and get on. I have a wonderful husband that reminds me everyday that he loves me no matter how bad it gets and a two year old daughter that insists on helping me put cream so I have a fair bit of Vaseline on during the day as I can't let her touch my others and two best friends that are more than ready to inform others of their own failings when saying something narrow-minded. and they are who matter to me. I still have low self esteem but never let my daughter see in case she gets it as she has that risk from both sides of the family as my husbands dad and brother suffer from it to. we have very happy active life despite it being worse than ever. all I need is someone who suffers from it that I can openly talk about it with and visa versa.

Chalie don't listen to them! They are just ignorant people! I mean I do get that it hurts, it always does, I've also been called a thousand things, but you don't have to stop your life because of that. It is not our fault this disease, so we have nothing to be ashamed of!!! So I would tell you to go outside wearing anything you want and keep showing your little girl that she has a fearless mother that loves her because she knows how much she is worth and doesn't let other's tell her what she is not!!!

Hello everyone!

I've been a bit absent lately but just wanted to stop by and say hi, also I wanted to share with the others that I've been trying the non gluten diet and it has cleared me almost completely!!! It is amazing seriously. It is not easy but is worth the while
